I Know What it's Like to Relocate.

Picture
After a lifetime in St. Louis, Missouri selling real estate, I moved to Seattle, where I still sell real estate -- only now, I understand what it feels like to be the New Kid on the Block.  Things here are different from my home town, and they are probably different for you, too.  My goal is to demystify this beautiful new land of ours, to give you the best real estate advice I have to give, and to hopefully be a valuable resource to you in the future. If there's something in particular you want to know, send me an email and I'll look for the answer and get back to you.

Where Should I Live?

The Greater Seattle Area is expansive and expensive, taking in King, Snohomish & Pierce Counties.  Knowing where you're going to work, where you want to play, how much you have to spend, and which of the spectacular features of the area you want to enjoy is a good place to start.  Feel free to check out  homes here, and contact me when you need HELP.

What Do I Need To Know To Get Around?

Seattle traffic is now the 2nd worst in the nation, with the SR-520 bridge over Lake Washington being one of the worst choke holds in the country.  Buses qualify for the carpool lane, and Seattle's Metro Transit has an excellent system with online trip planning and friendly 24/7 customer service as well.  Visit them here!

A Word To The Wise:  PLAN AHEAD!

Road construction in the Greater Seattle area is a never-ending part of life. I strongly recommend checking in HERE before you start your week. There will be fewer tears that way.

Something You Will Rarely See in Seattle

Picture
It doesn't snow often in the city of Seattle.  When it does, stay home.  There will be no plows out salting and clearing the streets, and if you break down, no one is coming to get you.

Something You Will Frequently See in Seattle

Prepare to share the road with bicycles.  Biking is big in Seattle, and you will note markings on the pavement when you're sharing your lane with a cyclist.
Pedestrians are treated pretty well here, too.  They can usually cross the street confident they will not be run over.
